Job Overview:

**Summary

**: The Regulatory Coordinator will support the Regulatory Manager, ensuring all products comply with applicable registrations, laws, and regulations. The position will be responsible for supporting the Regulatory department with assigned tasks including the creation, maintenance, and distribution of product regulatory documents for compliance. Product categories include performance polymers, surfactants, dyes & pigments, auxiliary chemicals for the soft floor coverings & textile markets, resins, and acid-based product lines.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the creation of new SDSs, updating SDSs, and maintaining SDS database (archiving, organizing).

  • Gathering supplier questionnaires and maintaining regulatory information database for raw materials

  • Knowledge of Calprop 65, Conflict minerals, SVHC, PFAS, and other regulatory restricted substances check list is an asset

  • Support customer requests for regulatory information on products within the Specialty Materials and Fiber Treatment portfolios.

  • Perform global chemical inventory status for raw materials and finished goods

  • Prepare and provide TSCA statements

  • Support activities related to the renewal of licenses and certifications required to ensure business operations (e.g., RSPO certification)

**Essential Qualifications and Skills:

**

To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or effective and appropriate collaboration. Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (chemistry, chemical engineering, or relevant field) required

  • Minimum 3 years industry experience in regulatory or product stewardship roles (with focus on Personal Care, HI&I, Textiles, and/or Soft Floor Coverings segments preferred)

  • Experience with the management and creation of Safety Data Sheets

  • Knowledge of the Global Harmonized System of Classification of Chemicals (GHS)

  • Proficiency in MS Office 365

  • Experience with an ERP system is an asset

  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities with demonstrated problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to handle changing priorities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • Self-motivated and results oriented
