The Role
Regional Sales Manager for our Great Lakes Region, including Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude, impeccable integrity, strong business acumen, and exceptional communication skills.
For the Great Lakes Region, the ideal candidate will reside near a major airport and be comfortable with frequent regional travel, including regular overnight travel to support customer visits, distributor development, project reviews, training, trade shows, and industry events.
This role is responsible for driving territory growth, developing strategic customer relationships, expanding market share, and achieving sales objectives through a consultative, engineering-focused sales approach. Success will be measured through revenue growth, new business development, customer retention, distributor engagement, and the successful conversion of opportunities into long-term customer partnerships.
The Regional Sales Manager will help engineers, OEMs, machine builders, system integrators, and automation solution providers solve complex motion and mechanical design challenges through consultative engineering support and application-focused solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude with customer-facing sales skills and thrives in collaborative problem-solving environments. You will work directly with engineering teams, integrators, and industrial manufacturers to identify application requirements, recommend optimized linear and rotary motion solutions, and support projects from concept through implementation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical discussions, application engineering, territory development, and building long-term customer relationships within the automation and motion control industry. Candidates should be comfortable discussing mechanical systems, motion technologies, product performance, environmental constraints, and system integration considerations with technically sophisticated customers.
You will serve as a trusted technical resource for customers requiring solutions for harsh, high-cycle, precision, washdown, or demanding industrial environments. Success in this role requires the ability to understand customer engineering challenges, translate application needs into effective solutions, and effectively communicate Bishop-Wisecarver’s technical and business value beyond price alone.
