We are actively seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to join our rapidly growing Northern Region team! Our Northern Region includes our De Pere, Wausau, Eau Claire, and West Salem locations. This person will ideally work out of our De Pere or Wausau location. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting the Sales targets of the organization through effective, management, planning and budgeting. This position is also responsible for managing existing sales staff throughout the Northern Region and adding additional Sales resources and personnel as deemed necessary by the organization.

Regional Sales Managers are provided with a company vehicle. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Responsible for developing and implementing business plans for all territories of the region.
  • Ensure business plans and sales results meet expectations of the manufacturers we represent.
  • Manage any major accounts that are assigned to you, to ensure their needs are met.
  • Supervise Account Managers and other sales reps as assigned.
  • Monitor each Account Manager’s progress on an ongoing basis to ensure they are on track (sales tracker current, sales goals being met, the right customers/prospects are being contacted, etc.)
  • Work with each Account Manager in establishing annual business plans.
  • Approve and process monthly commissions for Account Managers.
  • Assist Account Managers as appropriate to ensure customers are satisfied.
  • Work with the Marketing Department on marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in or attend relevant trade shows.
  • Participate in continuing education as available and ensure sales reps obtain all training available.
  • Develop and lead field sales staff:  responsible for hiring, development, and disciplining (if necessary) of all field sales staff.
  • Meet regularly with General Manager to ensure equipment sales and after-market departments are working together.
  • Attend monthly management meetings, and present Sales information.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in sales or marketing.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Planning: ability to think ahead and plan over a one-to-two year time span.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of industrial powered equipment and our industry.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Commitment to company vision and mission.

Physical demands:Employee is required to frequently stand, walk, talk, listen, and use feet to operate machinery.  Employee is required to occasionally use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, including computer, presentation equipment, and other office equipment.  Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.  Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noisier shop environments and may be exposed to unusual environments at customer sites. When performing duties of this job, it is a requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment whenever appropriate.
