Job Overview:

If you are a Sales Leader looking to make a significant impact, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based within the assigned region, you will lead a high-performing regional sales organization passionate about driving growth in Emerson’s Controls & Software portfolio (Brands including PACSystems, Movicon, SolaHD) across the Central and Western United States! 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

  • Own regional orders performance and lead the development, enablement, and success of our network of distribution partners, system integrators, OEMs, and end users. Work closely with cross-functional groups to launch new technologies, implement growth programs, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Key technologies include PAC/PLC, Industrial PCs, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, and edge-to-cloud software platforms.
  • Develop, and implement regional sales strategies that achieve or exceed orders targets in alignment with national growth priorities and go-to-market plans.
  • Build and expand relationships with key customers and partners—including distributors, OEMs, system integrators, and end users—to drive pipeline growth, project specification, and channel performance.
  • Lead, develop, and encourage a regional sales team by setting clear goals, providing mentorship and feedback, and encouraging a culture centered on growth and accountability.
  • Work cross-functionally across marketing, engineering, and operations teams to align commercial efforts, support product launches, and ensure delivery of fully integrated customer solutions. Represent the entire Discrete Automation portfolio, and collaborate across the organization. 
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Continuously assess market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and advise business unit strategy. Leverage CRM and reporting tools to handle pipeline development, sales forecasting, and performance metrics, while driving adoption of scalable sales processes and tools.
  • Champion excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales organization. Foster a positive, high-performance work environment that prioritizes customer success and innovation while ensuring alignment with Emerson’s ethical standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 7 years of commercial or sales leadership experience in industrial automation, software, or related technologies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region (60%+).
  • Solid understanding of PAC/PLC systems, SCADA/HMI software, industrial networking, and digital transformation technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of industrial automation market trends, and customer needs, with the ability to translate insights into strategic sales initiatives.
  • Consistent track record of leading high-performing sales teams, handling key accounts, and driving revenue growth. Strong ability to inspire, empower, and develop talent to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, cultivate strategic channel partnerships, and influence critical team members at all levels to drive business success.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics software.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The role is part of our sales incentive plan, with a total annual target compensation in the range of $170K to $215K commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
