JOB DESCRIPTION

• No New York City deliveries!!!
• Dedicated regional route delivering to Dexter customers with one overnight per week
• Home most nights and every weekend.
• Equipment is an automatic Freightliner sleeper truck pulling a 48' or 53' flatbed
• No tarping required, minimal strapping.
• Pay structure includes miles, drop, and hourly pay. Approximately 1800-2000 miles/week.
• Deliver trailer and trailer products to customers timely while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several areas of the state: including NH, MA, CT, or ME.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Keep a log of activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
• Sign-on bonus paid to qualified driver in 3 installments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Valid Class A CDL Required.
• Flatbed experience preferred.
• 1 year experience, including manual.
• Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 3 years.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
