Refrigeration Technician

2nd shift & 3rd shift

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing the facility’s ammonia refrigeration systems. This role ensures equipment runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Refrigeration Systems.
• Monitor and maintain ammonia compressors, condensers, pumps, fans, chillers, and freezers.
• Complete preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve system performance.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration and mechanical system issues.
• Monitor leak detection systems and respond to alarms.
• Conduct inspections and document system readings.
• Assist with PSM and EPA compliance documentation.
• Maintain inventory of refrigerant and repair parts.
• Keep engine rooms clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
• 2–3 years of refrigeration experience.
• Equivalent training or education.
