This Refrigeration Technician role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial refrigeration and cooling systems while ensuring regulatory compliance, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys problem-solving, preventive maintenance, and working with industrial refrigeration equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Responsibilities:

**• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems and related equipment

• Maintain compressors, condensers, pumps, fans, chillers, freezers, and cooling systems

• Perform preventive maintenance activities to improve performance and reduce downtime

• Respond to emergency maintenance calls during and outside regular working hours as needed

• Communicate system performance and maintenance activities with leadership and maintenance teams

• Monitor refrigeration systems and leak detection equipment to ensure proper operation

• Conduct inspections, temperature monitoring, and required reporting activities

• Evaluate equipment condition and recommend repairs or improvements

• Troubleshoot associated mechanical and control systems

• Optimize equipment settings and controls to improve energy efficiency

• Maintain documentation to support EPA and regulatory compliance requirements

• Support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives and safety programs

• Order repair parts and maintain adequate inventory of refrigerants and supplies

• Coordinate with outside contractors performing service, repair, and installation work

• Maintain housekeeping standards within refrigeration and mechanical areas

**Qualifications:

**• Experience with industrial refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, or related equipment preferred

• Must have experience with ammonia refrigeration

• 2+ years of refrigeration, maintenance, or related industrial experience preferred

• Knowledge of compressors, condensers, chillers, pumps, and refrigeration controls

• Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting techniques

• Familiarity with EPA compliance requirements and refrigeration regulations

• Experience supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) programs is a plus

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and respond to emergency situations as needed

**Salary: **$30.00–$35.88 per hour
