Reefer Truck Refrigeration Technician

Location: Greensboro, NC

Pay: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience

Experience Required: 5–7 years

We are seeking an experienced Reefer Truck Refrigeration Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems on refrigerated trucks and trailers. This position requires an experienced technician who can hit the ground running and work independently with minimal training or supervision.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on experience in transport refrigeration or a closely related mechanical field.

Related experience may include:

• Commercial or industrial HVAC/refrigeration
• Diesel or fleet maintenance
• Automotive A/C and climate-control repair
• Heavy equipment or heavy-duty truck repair
• Commercial refrigeration systems
• Trailer maintenance with refrigeration experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems on reefer trucks and trailers
• Troubleshoot A/C and refrigeration system issues
• Repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, belts, hoses, and related components
• Diagnose electrical, wiring, control, and temperature-related problems
• Perform refrigerant system repairs and service
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections
• Identify mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Work independently and complete repairs efficiently

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant hands-on repair experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of refrigerants, compressors, A/C systems, temperature controls, and refrigeration components
• Reefer truck or trailer refrigeration experience strongly preferred
• Experience repairing commercial refrigeration or refrigerated transportation equipment is a plus
• Must be dependable and able to hit the ground running with minimal training
