THE POSITION: CORPORATE RECRUITER

SCOPE: To seek the best skilled and talented people to fill Commercial Jet’s staffing needs.

THE COMPANY: Commercial Jet has more than 25 years delivering heavy maintenance and modification services, complete airframe inspections, passenger to freighter conversions, interior modifications, NDT inspections and avionics upgrade programs. FAA certified in addition to numerous other countries, has hangar facilities in Miami, Florida (MIA) and Dothan, Alabama (DHN), totaling half-a-million square feet.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: You will be in charge of all the activities related to achieving the staffing objectives for both company facilities. You will need to be resourceful in tapping into sources by using job fairs, on-line resources including social media, publications and your industry network for finding the best candidates to join us.

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations that attract the best; maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging community tours if required for relocation purposes.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.

EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Industrial and Labor Relations.

EXPERIENCE:Minimum five years recruitment or staffing experience.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  • Loves interacting with people from all walks of life.
  • Is a skillful communicator on the phone, Skype, to a group or one-on-one.
  • Has strong organizational and time management skills and uses technology to this end.
  • Is well versed on employment Law. 
  • Enjoys traveling to different places to promote Commercial Jet and source candidates.
