Vulcan Industries is looking for a Lead for the receiving department. The receiving lead will be responsible for overseeing the unloading, sorting, and inspection of incoming shipments.  Leads the receiving team and assigns tasks to ensure accurate and timely processing of received items.  Provide training and feedback for team members.  Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing lists and ensure that incoming products or materials meet quality standards.  Report any damage or discrepancies to the Supervisor and Quality team.  Ensure a safe and organized environment for the team.

Preferred skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a Receiving/Warehouse related role.
  •  Proficiency in using computer systems and software.
  •  Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
  •  Strong organizational and time management skills.
  •  Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Other Skills

  • Ability to operate overhead crane and standup forklift as needed.

 Working Conditions

  •  Inside, non-climate-controlled environment, variable workdays and hours. Some noise and vibration. Overtime will be required.

Physical Demands

  •  Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  •  Sitting and standing
  •  Climb and balance.
  •  Kneeling, crouching, stooping
