Shift: A-Shift (Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm EST) OT As required

Position Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility to support efficient manufacturing operations. This position ensures production teams have the materials they need while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe, organized work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. 
  • Supply production areas with raw materials and components. 
  • Move finished products to designated warehouse locations. 
  • Empty and stage machine center hoppers. 
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments. 
  • Verify quantities and inspect materials for damage. 
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning and documentation. 
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities. 
  • Organize warehouse and storage areas using 5S principles. 
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures. 
  • Assist other departments as needed to meet customer requirements. 

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred. 
  • Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to become certified). 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. 
  • Basic computer and inventory system skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Positive attitude and dependable attendance. 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift. 
  • Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials. 
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat, and climb as needed. 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
