Job Description Summary

Collects samples and gathers the requested data for production analysis. This position will be involved with many different aspects of the raw product grading and analysis. They will be required to be professional and have the ability to train employees, lead employees and demonstrate an ability to gain further knowledge about potatoes and potato varieties.

Job Description

Works in a safe and orderly manner while in the plant or on the premises.

Will need to, perform the training and evaluation of new technicians on raw lab practices and procedures.

Is expected to, provide guidance, leadership, and support to all plant departments.

Gathers samples of product from the production line or from storage, and tests product to assure it meets the proper specifications.

Records test data, evaluates date, and reports any deviations from product specifications.

Ensures that all technicians are working in a safe and orderly manner, and are following proper procedure when performing quality tests

Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to; fryer oil change outs, water blancher change outs, cutting mechanism greasing, 5S.

Help coordinate and process monthly color samples, variety samples, preharvest samples and harvest samples.

Communicate raw product information (color, gravities, etc.) to the appropriate departments as directed.

Reviews production data v.s. raw data and provides anaylsis to Production Superintendent and Senior Ag Specialist on daily basis.
