THE WORKYou will support Aegis Combat System Integration Testing for DDG-51 Class ships as a C&D/ADS, BFTT, LINK System Engineer as part of the Aegis Modernization Team – San Diego (AMT – SD).
Will be responsible for ensuring the AEGIS Command Decision (C&D), and AEGIS Display System (ADS) are operational and available with a primary focus devoted to the LINK and Training Operations (BFTT). The C&D/ADS, BFTT, LINK System Engineer reports to the AWS Engineer Lead and coordinates with the Availability Project Engineer, Test Coordinator (TC) and the Test Director for C&D/ADS test related matters; as well as, LINK and BFTT In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs), you will need to:
• Setup configurations, equipment interfaces and data extraction requirements
• Proper activation and operation of the computing environment; configuration and computer program operation and interface with other elements
• Provide LINKS operational support (support C2P and CDLMS operations and interfaces and well as AWS functionality and operation) and ensure the successful completion of all link test events.
• Conduct government furnished TDL test procedures and assist in test procedures with TDL sections
• Identify and resolve Integrated Training system, equipment and computer program issues in collaboration with BFTT ISEA.
o Conduct tests, analyze test results, and report findings for functional tests
o Provide engineering support for the interfaces and capabilities and limitations
• Prepare for computer program and/or equipment changes
• Conduct test, analyze test results and report findings for functional tests
• Provide engineering support for the interfaces and capabilities and limitations. Support Fleet Readiness troubleshooting calls.
* Qualified candidate must have an active DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance to be considered along with the ability to obtain and maintain a final DoD Secret Security Clearance. *US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications
• Must be physically able to work aboard a U.S. Navy ship and support short underway periods
• Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time CONUS and OCONUS
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering field or applicable experience
• Proven understanding of: theory and operations of computer/network system, basic Electrical Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Power Meters, Logic Analyzer), and LINUX/UNIX operating systems
• Intermediate level of competence with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Project)
• This position requires work on Naval Vessels, both in-port and underway. Employee will be expected to work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs.

Desired skills
• Candidate should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of JAVA Network Tools and/or PYTHON Software
• An understanding of US Navy preventive and corrective maintenance procedures and proficiency in reading technical documents is desired
• Experience with large scale Ship Integration and Test practices
• Experience collaborating with US Navy personnel and familiarity with command structure
• Data Analysis and Automated Testing techniques
• Experience resolving fiber optic, cable, power and cooling issues in equipment

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
