Our client in Willoughby is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join their manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production role focused on assembling large racks, cabinets, and related products. This is not a warehouse or shipping position.

Important: Candidates must successfully pass a Blueprint Reading & Scale Measurement Test to be considered for employment.

Responsibilities

Assemble large racks, cabinets, and components according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and scale measurements accurately
Perform quality inspections on components and finished products
Operate drill presses, countersink machines, and other production equipment
Saw, rivet, and assemble sheet metal components as required
Repair damaged or non-conforming products when necessary
Complete final inspections, labeling, cleaning, and packaging of finished products
Verify part counts and report material shortages or discrepancies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all quality and safety procedures

Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
Experience using hand tools and power tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to follow detailed instructions and production processes
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Must pass a Blueprint Reading & Scale Measurement Test

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
