JENNMAR Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality/ISO Supervisor for its plant located in Cresson, PA.

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a professional position where the employee directs and monitors the quality assurance functions for industrial processes, materials, and products to ensure continuous steel processing production. The employee will ensure production is consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals for a single-site steel processing plant to supply steel products to manufacturers of strata control systems for the mining and tunneling industries, various steel fabricators, and various specialty steel products per customer specification.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• College/University Degree Preferred; High School Diploma/GED Required
• Two (2) Years Related Quality Assurance Experience; or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
• Minimum Two (2) Years ISO 9001 Experience Required 
• Minimum Two (2) Years Forging/Stamping Experience Preferred
• PPAP and Internal/External Auditing Experience Preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, quality assurance, and inspection methods, techniques, and equipment to reason and make judgments to meet deadlines in a high-volume production environment
• Proficient organizational skills with great attention to detail and a quality assurance mindset
• Ability to interact professionally with customers
• Verbal/written communication skills to present information or ideas clearly to personnel at all levels of production operations and senior management
• Proficient information gathering and monitoring skills to facilitate effective, unbiased decision making and problem-solving functions
• Mathematical ability to provide technical support
• Proficient computer literacy (Word, Excel, ERP system)
• "Team" mentality with ability to take initiative and maintain confidentiality
• Candidate must have an excellent attendance record

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Performs daily walk-down inspection of plant area to check for quality issues.
• Responsible for planned quality inspections on equipment, team member competency confirmation, document management, and quality instrument maintenance and tracking.
• Verifies all in-house processing work orders and setups for accuracy and completeness.
• Assists with quality and/or ISO responsibilities and conducts internal audits of JENNMAR processes in accordance with ISO 9001 standard.
• Reviews all outside process orders for accuracy and ensures that steel applied meets all specifications of steel ordered.
• Generates preventative/corrective actions and continuous improvement projects.
• Resolves technical issues with customers.
• Corrects internally-caused steel processing nonconformities.
• Attends corporate training sessions to acquire innovative procedures to maintain contemporary quality assurance/ISO procedures.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned by executive or senior management.
