Job Description

You will be the Quality Tooling Engineer Senior for the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) team in Orlando. You will be responsible for reviewing, and approving tool designs. You will also work with tool inspection to create processes to verify our production tooling.

Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing quality engineering processes that ensure the highest standards of product quality and reliability.

As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for leading quality engineering efforts, applying your expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing, and quality to drive continuous improvement in our processes.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible, but not limited to the following:

• Developing and reviewing requirements, quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection of manufacturing and acceptance tooling.
• Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
• Reviews tool orders and tool designs to ensure requirements are met
• Lead and/or participate in technical investigations for tooling-related issues.
• Develop and implement new inspection processes and automation methods.
• Reviews rejected tooling and ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues.
• Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.
• Collaborate and mentor Quality Engineering teams across the corporation

This position may require some travel to review and approve supplier tooling.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

•STEM degree at Bachelor's degree or above, or minimum 5+ years of progressive experience

•Strong knowledge of and extensive experience with GD&T

•Experience in tool design and development

•Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance

Desired skills

•Experience in CMM programming

•Experience using laser and optical white / blue light scanners to confirm design dimensions.

•Experience supporting development of tooling standards

•Fully familiar with Quality requirement of design and manufacturing processes of tools and production parts
laser and optical white / blue light scanners.

•Experienced in the development of internal specifications for interpreting industrial standards

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $93,800 - $162,610. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
