We're seeking for our quality group a person with the unique ability to work with people in various roles to solve problems proactively - a quality technician to perform inspections and help our operations team deliver quality products to our customers. Performs inspections to customer requirements (Material Specification, Drawing, Government Specification) on raw material, in-process and finished goods. Specific duties may vary depending upon immediate plant need. More experienced technicians may also be asked to participate in advanced quality planning. See attached description for details.
Hours:
Weekend days Friday to Sunday, 5:00AM to 5:00PM, $3/hour shift premium and overtime as needed. Training on other shifts as needed.
Weekend nights Friday to Sunday, 5:00PM to 5:00AM, $4.50/hour shift premium and overtime as needed. Training on other shifts as needed.
Pay: Starting pay is based on previous quality experience in related setting; Starting pay is $21 to $23.00 and goes up to $24 with opportunity for more with seniority, training and career advancement.
Qualifications
- Experience performing quality inspections to customer requirements on raw material, in-process and finished goods using calipers, micrometers, Wizard, quality plans, product audits and raw material inspections, reading blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to perform data entry, proficient in Microsoft products and manufacturing software.
- Willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, which is fast paced with occasional shifting priorities.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred
- Experience with quality planning FMEA, Control Plans, Inspection sheets.
- GD&T knowledge
- Experience training others.
