Quality Technician – QA/QC Documentation Specialist (Admin)

Overview:

A leading automation and material handling systems integrator is seeking a Quality Technician to support QA/QC documentation for mechanical, electrical, and adjustment teams involved in equipment installation. This role focuses on creating, managing, and processing QA/QC check sheets and ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly stored.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, distribute, collect, and review QA/QC check sheets for Mechanical, Electrical, and Adjustment teams.
  • Use engineering drawings and installation documentation to set up and maintain Excel QA/QC spreadsheets.
  • Maintain accuracy of the Equipment Progress Tracker.
  • Scan, upload, and organize completed documentation in the company’s digital filing system.
  • Collaborate with installation and QA/QC personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Provide documentation to customer databases when required.
  • Support safe work practices and promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with construction contractors or similar environments preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, QA/QC documents, and installation instructions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual Japanese or Spanish is a plus (not required).

Technical Skills

  • Basic ability to read mechanical/electrical prints, schematics, and diagrams (training provided).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using printers/scanners for copying, scanning, and emailing documents.
  • Familiarity with CAD?viewing software is helpful.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to perform basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based; computer work with occasional time in fabrication or clean room environments.
  • May be required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, or lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have normal color, depth, and distance vision
