Quality Technician - Document Control Specialist
Summary:
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining company documents, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to authorized personnel. This position will also be responsible for managing product compliance activities.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Identifying and managing all controlled documentation to ensure compliance with operational, corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Providing effective and efficient documentation and records management.
- Coordinating the scheduling of formal document reviews for site documentation.
- Review and approve inspection results and device history records for completeness.
- Maintains file system of the current device history records and other required documents of internal and external origins.
- Communicating changes to document control procedures or other relevant information which have been updated or added.
- Disposing or destroying records and documents in a secure and proper way when retention periods expire.
- Support Customer and Regulatory audits by pulling required documentation.
- Scan and enter material certifications, SDS (safety Datasheets) and TDS (Technical Datasheets) into the system.
- Review, update and enter REACH/RoHS and other compliance data into IQMS or Accent databases as requested by customers.
- Understand Good Documentation Practices.
- Identify, facilitate, and perform all necessary measures of the Quality Management System as directed by the Quality Manager.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Qualifications
Experience, skills, education and training:
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within field
- Ability to problem solve, identify errors, and deficiencies and perform research with limited guidance
- Ability to apply knowledge to their job function using pre-established guidelines and instructions
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness
- Proficient computer skills
- Proficient communications skills
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude
- Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Preferred:
- Previous Quality Control experience
- Good Customer Service and Communication Skills
- 2 – 3 years directly related experience
Work environment and physical demands:
Works under general supervision. This position requires 70% of time in sedentary position, looking, reading, phone communication and using computer. 30% of the time will be spent in a more active way, walking/checking on Production floor wearing specific protective clothing.
