Description
Job Summary:
As a Quality Control Technician, you will assist leadership in responding to company Quality Response Teams (QRTs) by maintaining all quality databases that include repair and QRT information. Complete Quality Department SOP training with existing and new Quality staff and facilitate estimates, scheduling and revised billing of QRTs.
Essential Functions:
- Investigate all customer QRT concerns and provide research leadership.
- Document all discussions and e-mail history in the QRT database.
- Provide QRT feedback to Customer Service to resolve the quality issue.
- Enter Post-Ship Repairs.
- Enter a brief historical QRT description into the AS400 any time we have a QRT.
- Involve leadership in the investigation and resolution process, as needed.
- Initiate Error Reviews on all QRTs that were resolved by Credit or feedback.
- Learn all necessary department functions of prepress and finishing to expedite a Repair through the departments.
- Make follow up calls to the Customer and Sales, as assigned.
- Take revised job specs from the customer and route quote requests to the Estimating department.
- Work with the Scheduling department to provide the necessary information for customers needs.
- Communicate job instructions to Purchasing prior to orders arriving to ensure stock availability or possible options.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records and documents for Repairs and QRT policies.
- Create and distribute reports to management.
- Must be pro-active in identifying situations early and alerting the CSR or Production with an accurate interpretation of the potential problem.

- Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based databases.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma and two years experience in print manufacturing operations or related function.
