The Quality Technician 3 will provide technical support to the quality team and will be responsible for focusing primarily on inspection, including receiving, in-process, and final. Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components, and parts at various stages of the production process, to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. This position is responsible for inspection of composite tooling, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.to support the manufacture of aerospace and space-based composite structures.
Essential Functions:
• Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components on all types of standard and special products, to insure alignment with product requirements and quality standards
• Provides detail analysis, troubleshooting and evaluation of components, assemblies, and systems
• Maintains documentation records and data on tests performed
• Recommends quality control solutions to complex problems and implements corrective actions
• Sets up or builds special test panels to facilitate testing and /or evaluation as needed.
• Preforms internal audits based on established criteria and records the results.
• Read and follow work instructions.
• Assists with material testing when necessary.
• Performs routine visual inspection of composite tooling, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
• Performs routine visual inspection of painted composite components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
• Perform paint and coating thickness checks with ultrasonic thickness gage.
• Perform dimensional measurements with instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, indicators, gage pins, depth gage, protractor, and other gages as required.
• Performs inspections including precision weighing and measuring.
• Use fixtures to accurately fit and check components.
• Use Microsoft office suite and Microsoft teams.
• Compile certification packages including First Article Inspection Reports.
• Keep accurate records of inspection results.
• Review supplier and subcomponent inspection packages.
• Record and communicate non-conforming measurement results with Team Lead and MRB team.
• Read and determine conformity to process specifications.
• Assists with training/development regarding tasks in their department.
• Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
Minimum Position Qualifications :
Education: Requires a High School Diploma/GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only.
Experience: 5 – 7 years of relevant experience required.
Computer Skills:
• Knowledge and proficiency in all MS Word, Access and Excel applications required
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• Skilled at performing examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components, and parts on all types of standard and special products.
• Ability to independently resolve standard assignments.
• Experience with blueprints, drawings, and parts lists.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to learn and follow specific step by step instructions.
• Ability to make accurate measurements using calipers, micrometer, analytical balance.
• Ability to use test fixtures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
