Are you detail-oriented, driven, and passionate about ensuring top-quality products? ATACO Steel Products Corp is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the high standards our customers rely on.
As part of our Quality team, you’ll support both day-to-day production and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with products, processes, and inspection tools — and to make a real impact on quality across the company.
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, you will:
Conduct initial sampling, in-process, and finished goods inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and tolerances.
Analyze and interpret inspection results, clearly communicating feedback to operators to maintain quality standards.
Complete documentation to support customer-required PPAPs and participate in new product development when needed.
Assist with containment, corrective action reports (CARs), and root cause analysis to drive problem-solving and improvement.
Audit and monitor inspection processes for ISO compliance, helping maintain high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
Support and implement continuous improvement activities across the plant.
Create and maintain in-process inspection sheets and CMM programs using ATACO templates and measurement strategies.
Inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet purchase order requirements.
Train operators on proper use of measurement equipment and support capability studies.
Ensure all quality department tools and equipment are calibrated, documented, and maintained.
Perform general office and quality-related functions as needed.
Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Preferred:
1–3 years of quality assurance experience
Solid understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and full part layout inspections
Experience with stamped and drawn sheet metal parts
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiarity with PC-DMIS, DraftSight, and SolidWorks
Experience with ISO 9001:2015, quality management systems, and ERPs
A driven, self-starting attitude with a desire to grow and take initiative
