Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Quality Technician for our Wilmington, OH office who will provide support to the Quality function in testing and evaluation of products and processes; operating within established and prescribed practices and procedures. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP's, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.

Functional Responsibilities

• Performs material testing and process inspection 
• Obtains and keeps sample retains
• Performs quality checks utilizing individual Customer order specifications
• Conducts and accurately documents quality test results
• Performs COA/COC testing for requiring customers
• Inspects returned goods and reports findings
• Completes QC testing of trial orders
• Maintain gage calibrations, receipt and issue new gages
• Communicates information both internally and externally as it relates to quality
• Other duties as assigned

Functional Requirements

• Regular use of computers, telephones and other types of office equipment
• Attention to detail
• Must organize complex tasks and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and one (1) to three (3) years’ experience in the multi-wall bag industry or 
• High School Diploma or GED and three (3) to five (5) years’ in the multi-wall bag industry

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to Communicate effectively
• Ability to manage time, work independently, problem solve, multi-task under pressure, and be organized
