**Education:
**
Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of mechanical inspection experience preferred. Experience and knowledge of Acceptance Sampling plans and table usage, visual inspection experience, and ISO 9001:200 and/or TS 16949 experience preferred.
**Skills and Abilities:
**
Experience and knowledge of Acceptance Sampling plans and table usage.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, including GD&T.
Proficient in the use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no go gages, checking fixtures, height gages, CMM, Optical Comparator, and other mechanical inspection equipment.
Visual inspection skills.
Ability to gather data for SPC monitoring to analyze results and identify out-of-control conditions, trends and runs.
Able to run controlled experiments under direction of Engineering and/or Manufacturing.
Ability to discuss technical problems encountered with suppliers, customers, managers, engineering, or purchasing staff.
Ability to prioritize inspection workload.
Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and demanding environment.
