Position Overview:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Plant Quality Control Technician to join our team at Minova’s new facility in Tooele, UT. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining Minova’s high-quality standards by overseeing quality assurance activities and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality control initiatives within the plant to ensure products meet Minova’s rigorous standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other performance standards.
  • Analyze quality control test results and recommend process improvements.
  • Generate detailed reports from quality control tests and present actionable insights.
  • Support the continuous improvement of quality, cost, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in line with the Quality Management System.
  • Collaborate with external teams to provide data and support for customer requirements.
  • Manage calibration of equipment and tools at scheduled intervals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in: Pole Testing, Tensile Testing, or Hydrostatic Testing, strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access databases.

  • Familiarity with electronic document monitoring systems.

  • Minimum of a High School diploma (further education in quality management is a plus).

  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel production.

  • Strong knowledge of steel quality control techniques and methods.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a commercial orientation.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and adapt to change.

  • Lead by example to promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Use stop work authority to ensure a safe working environment when hazardous conditions arise.
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Adhere to Minova’s SHE&S (Safety, Health, Environment & Security) standards.
  • Actively participate in safety programs and encourage safe work practices among team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory safety requirements.
