Receiving / Machine Shop / Sheet Metal Inspector

Schedule:
Full Time: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspection of purchased and manufactured parts. The responsibilities and authority may vary as quality functions are delegated by the Quality Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
- In-process and end-of-line inspection in area(s) of assigned responsibility including one or many of paint/plating, machining, sheet metal, subassembly, electronics, and shipping/receiving.
- Reject non-conforming parts
- Use and care of Quality Assurance equipment
- Assist the Calibration Inspector with the calibration duties
- Assure the quality of products within the area of assignment. Stop production and take corrective action to correct any condition that would contribute to poor quality if it can be corrected in an expedient manner. If it cannot, Inspection Supervisor or Group Leader will be notified.
- Release conforming parts to stock, shipping, or the next operation
- Update and maintain records within the assigned area of the Inspection Department
- Submit changes on EAR for inspection criteria for Machine Shop or Sheet Metal parts
- Pull nonconforming parts from stock
- Basic CMM Operation
- Roving inspection in your area daily after primary inspection duties are completed
Position Requirements:
- Layout measurement skills
- Basic GD&T proficiency and ability to read and interpret mechanical
- Work with a minimum of supervision
Education/Certifications:
Preferred:
- PC: Oracle Literate
- CMM Program writing using PC-DMIS
- MS Office Suite
