What You’ll Do
As a Quality Technician, you’ll support the Quality Department with day‑to‑day activities that keep manufacturing operations running smoothly and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily calibration verifications to ensure equipment accuracy
- Conduct in‑process weight checks during manufacturing
- Inspect and evaluate incoming raw materials for quality compliance
- Assist with finished product quality approvals as needed
- Prepare, scan, file, and maintain quality documentation and records
- Verify that manufacturing processes comply with internal procedures, certifications, and regulatory requirements
- Support audit preparation efforts and quality reviews
- Identify potential quality or food/feed safety concerns and promptly escalate issues to the Quality Systems Manager
- Follow all food and feed safety requirements, including Hygiene standards, GMPs, FDA regulations, and third‑party certifications such as FSSC 22000 and FAMI‑QS
- Perform light housekeeping tasks within work areas
- Complete additional quality‑related duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to non‑hazardous powders or chemicals
- Potential exposure to unregulated temperatures
- Role involves standing for extended periods, with some seated work
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and fingers
- Must be able to see, hear, bend, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule & Travel
- Full‑time, 1st shift with variable start times
- Overtime may be required during peak production periods, including occasional weekends
- Minimal travel may be required on occasion
Education & Experience
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Prior experience in Quality, Food Safety, or manufacturing
- Working knowledge of HACCP principles
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and certification standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
