What You’ll Do:
Inspect and test parts according to blueprints, approved drawings, and written specifications using measurement tooling; i.e. mics, calipers, microhite, comparator, etc. and record test data.
Test products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, tolerances, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
Examine finished products for rough edges, cracks, and appearance, marking parts for acceptance or rejection.
Interpret manufacturing drawings to determine quality and reliability standards.
Document all testing and inspection results and follow all quality processes for non-conformance and/or out of tolerance results.
Provide measurement and testing support for internal and external quality issues.
Ensure lab equipment is in top performance, monitor calibration adherence, and communicate when calibration or repairs are needed.
Assist in problem solving and failure analysis/root cause analysis support to production, quality, and engineering as needed.
Assist in managing non-conforming material within the different departments and maintain records in ERP, when required.
Assist in performing gage calibrations as required.
Perform coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection operations with assistance, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
High School Diploma/GED.
2+ years of quality control experience within a machining manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with GD&T and Gage calibration concepts.
Certification and ongoing annual certification of 20/20 near visual acuity with, or without, corrective lenses.
Even Better:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, or two years of equivalent higher education strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Previous experience in an AS9100 Environment strongly preferred.
Practical knowledge of and an ability to use statistical analysis methods and tools.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of GD&T and Datum Structure Review; GD&T ASME Y14.5 - 2018 foundational level certification a plus.
Certified Quality Inspector (CQI).
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma.
