Salary for Quality Technician: $25.00 - 27.00 per hour
Vergent Products is seeking a full-time Quality Technician to ensure the mechanical tools, mechanical measuring devices, limited life materials (adhesives, chemicals, compounds, etc), and workmanship training are maintained in a state of excellence and control at all times.
As the Quality Control Inspector you will:
- Perform incoming Inspection material on product materials including Printed Circuit Boards, Sheet Metal Components, Cable Assemblies, Conformal Coated Board Assemblies and various components being received into Vergent Products System.
- Use released drawings and calibrated measuring devices to verify compliance requirements.
- Records defect data when Non-Conforming material or product has been detected.
- Manage calibration schedules for tool collections from Production and Engineering areas including schedules for tool/device Pick-Up & Delivery with the calibration house.
- Calibrate torque drivers in house and maintains internal torque tool calibration records. Performs tool maintenance as needed.
- Ensure Vergent Products is continuously in compliance with ESD standards and practices. Records test results and maintains records data base and schedules. Repair and replace ESD devices as needed.
- Manage limited life materials that are used in products.
- Receive material, labels and assigns the next available number that is entered into the Vergent Products data base.
- Perform product assembly First Article Inspections in the production areas, Box Build and PCBA shop.
- May assist Quality Engineer or Director of Quality with tasks when needed.

Requirements
- Document organization and control skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Gerber viewer (GC-Preview or equivalent)
- Experience with record creation and
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to read drawing dimensions and calculate tolerances.
- Able to use inspection tools such as and not limited to Calipers, Height Gauges, Micrometers, Surface Plates, Pin Gauges.
- Good knowledge base of industrial tools in product development and manufacturing practices.
