Job Overview:

Quality Technician

Full-Time | Kalamazoo MI

Precision Matters Here. So Do You.

Gaishin Manufacturing is hiring a Quality Technician who knows that details make the difference between “good enough” and world-class. If you’re sharp, hands-on, and confident working independently in a manufacturing environment, this role puts you at the center of what we do: delivering high-quality parts that meet demanding customer and industry standards.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys inspection work, data-driven quality control, and being trusted to own their craft.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Quality Technician, you’ll be responsible for executing inspection and quality control activities that keep production moving and standards high. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Performing in-process and final inspections on manufactured parts

  • Completing and maintaining inspection reports and quality documentation

  • Verifying products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards

  • Using precision inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators

  • Ensuring all inspection and test equipment is properly calibrated

  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting quality issues or nonconformances

  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing inspection data

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within quality control processes

  • Working closely with production teams to ensure quality checks align with workflow

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings technical skill, strong judgment, and pride in their work. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment

  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement and inspection equipment

  • CMM and/or automated visual measurement experience (preferred, not required)

  • Calibration experience (a plus)

  • Strong attention to detail and high visual awareness

  • Solid organizational and documentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, reporting)

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Why Work at Gaishin Manufacturing

We value people who take ownership, care about quality, and want to be part of a team that does things right the first time. If you want stability, growth, and work you can stand behind, you’ll find it here.
