Job Overview:

The Quality Technician is responsible for creating test and inspection records that support effective quality control and meet customer expectations. This position will review, interpret, and apply customer-specific quality requirements to ensure compliance throughout the production process. Duties may also include assisting in the development of quality control documentation and production process instructions to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained and continuously improved.


Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Interpret customer quality requirements and specifications and create individual quality control action plans to suit.
  2. Execute quality control actions to ensure compliance with customer and internal quality requirements and specifications. This may include the completion of incoming, in-process and final product inspections, including non-destructive testing, on a variety of equipment and products.
  3. Compile technical passports and documents and publish as required.
  4. Assist with quality control training.
  5. Responsible for the creation, collection, storage and maintenance of multiple document and record types.
  6. Assist with established vendor/ supplier evaluations.
  7. Assist with communicating problems to suppliers and technicians.
  8. Assist in the development of company procedures and work instructions.
  9. Assist the coordination of the tool calibration system.
  10. Responsible for coordination, training, and maintenance of NCR system.
  11. Practice safe work procedures always.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Some college/ vocational training – post secondary courses pertaining to manufacturing environment 
  • Computer literacy

  • Able to handle highly confidential information and be detail oriented
  • Ability to listen, communicate (verbal and written) and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/ team building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Stress and time management skills
  • Problem solving/ decision making/ critical thinking
  • Presentation skills
