Job Description

Aegis is currently partnering with a local manufacturing company in Elgin to identify a Quality Technician to join their growing team!

Key Responsibilities

Rotational Areas (Packaging • Production • Lab/Blending)

- Perform quality checks across departments

- Conduct inspections, testing, documentation, and CI-related activities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth production flow

Packaging & Production

- Conduct hourly checks on packaged products

- Verify product specifications meet established standards

- Review and complete production paperwork for accuracy

- Communicate any deviations or quality issues to supervisors

Lab / Blending / Receiving / Shipping

- Inspect incoming raw materials and approve/release them to production

- Scan and upload QA paperwork into internal systems

- Conduct sensory testing on blends

- Perform routine lab tests and measurements

- Generate general lab reports and maintain documentation accuracy

Required Qualifications

- 6+ months of manufacturing experience

- Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to changing priorities

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Competent with data entry and basic software tools (Microsoft Office, tablets, digital logs)

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

- Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred)

- Familiarity with GMP or HACCP standards

- Experience with data entry, reporting, or basic trend analysis
