Job Description:
Position Summary:
Responsible for inspection of products, components and gauges used in the evaluation of products. Identify and appropriately document nonconformance of the items being inspected and assist in identifying the root cause to eliminate the nonconformance.
Responsibilities:
- Train employees in use of measuring equipment, measurement methods, and reading prints.
- Inspect components for compliance to print requirements.
- Verification of mechanical dimensions, aesthetic characteristics, serial numbers, etc.
- Excellent observation and problem solving skills
- Perform detailed first article and layout inspections on purchased or manufactured products
- Inspect and calibrate gages used in evaluation of products
- Set up and develop measurement and layout plans (Keyence, CMM, Faro arm etc) to inspect machined components and Assemblies
- Use JDE & SAP to perform QA transactions
- Assist with FPY data entry, and Customer complaint investigations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree in technical field preferred
- Three (3) years of related experience in a quality technician role OR five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing production role (machining or assembly)
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
- Knowledge of machining and assembly of mechanical and electrical products
- Proficient in the use of inspection and metrology equipment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience developing and implementing inspection and test plans
- Effectively use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) preferred
- ISO Auditor experience preferred, ASQ Certifications preferred
- Excellent problem at solving

Pay Range:
$45,314.00-$52,432.00
