Job Overview:

Quality Technician

Brixey & Meyer is partnering with Elliott Tool Technologies, a well-established, privately held manufacturing company in the Dayton, OH area to identify a Quality Technician who understands tolerances and blueprints and can diagnose manufacturing issues before they escalate.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspection: Serve as a subject matter expert in inspecting manufactured and purchased products to meet quality and safety standards.

  • Calibration: Calibrate and use precision measurement tools and test equipment.

  • Problem-Solving: Identify process, design, and manufacturing issues and recommend improvements.

  • Compliance: Facilitate RMA inspections and write Certificates of Compliance for customer shipments.

  • Collaboration: Report quality issues to the Quality Manager and support cross-training in related functions.

Imagine it’s 4:30 PM. A customer’s production is down, costing them $100,000 per hour. Assembly finds parts that don't fit. What We’re Looking For

  • Education: 2- or 4-year college or technical education, or equivalent experience.

  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of metrology and inspection methods.

  • Tooling: Skilled in reading blueprints and using calipers and micrometers.

  • Location: Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Dayton, OH.

  • Reliability: Flexible and dependable; willing to work overtime as needed.
