Job Overview:

  • Contract to hire opportunity - you'll be hired based on attendance, performance and client needs

  • Day shift position to meet your scheduling needs (7:00 am start time)

  • Create and implement methods for examination, inspection, measurement, and testing of materials used in manufacturing.

  • Collect, analyze, and distribute data to support Quality Engineers and relevant projects.

  • Ensure materials comply with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve internal and external quality issues, including supplier and customer complaints.

  • Interpret blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Manage records, certifications, and documentation for completed inspections.

  • Participate in or lead problem-solving initiatives under Quality Engineer guidance.

  • Coordinate with purchasing and operations teams on supplied material disposition.

  • Fundamental knowledge of assembly methods and processes.

  • GD&T and blueprint reading.

  • Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes, and similar devices.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding product specifications.

  • Familiarity with ISO procedures and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • High School Diploma or GED required. An associate’s degree in manufacturing technology is preferred.

  • Quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly machining and assembly.
