Quality Technician

Position Summary

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining product and process quality within a highly regulated aerospace special-process manufacturing environment. This position performs inspections, reviews manufacturing and quality records, verifies process compliance, maintains product traceability, supports nonconformance and corrective-action activities, assists with internal and external quality audits, and maintains calibration records of measurement equipment.

The Quality Technician will work closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Management to ensure that products and processes conform to customer requirements, engineering specifications, and approved internal procedures.

The ideal candidate has experience working in an aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment and understands the importance of documentation, configuration control, process discipline, and objective evidence.

Essential Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Verification

Perform receiving, in-process, final, and source inspections as required.

Verify parts and assemblies against drawings, specifications, work instructions, purchase orders, and customer requirements.

Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.

Verify material identification, part identification, lot numbers, heat/trace numbers, and other required product identification.

Verify product status and ensure conforming/nonconforming material is properly identified and segregated.

Review traveler/router documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Verify that required operations, inspections, signatures, and approvals have been completed.

Maintain a system that tracks calibration records for Monitoring and Measurement equipment.
