BAE Systems is looking for a Quality Technician who is excited to join a leading top tier global aerospace & defense enterprise as part of the C4ISR business area.  This role is a full time, onsite position located in Fort Wayne, IN. 

As a Quality Technician you will leverage your knowledge and experience to help the team meet quality, cost, and on-time delivery targets. This role focuses on communication with internal and external customers, supporting continuous improvement, and helping the team make decisions and drive actions based on data.
Responsibilities include:
  • Perform final Quality review (sell-off) of hardware
  • Collaborate with Operation as needed
  • Reviewing and analyzing data to improve yields and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participating in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
  • Control of non-conforming materials, including leading containment, disposition activities and perform audits as needed
  • Supporting production through Corrective Action Board
  • Participating in Production Process Verification (PPV) / First Article Inspections (FAI) activities

Required Skills and Education

  • High School degree and 1-2+ years of experience
  • Basic understanding of quality science tools (8D RCCA, SPC, Auditing)
  • Self-starting problem solver with a fact-based focus on continuous improvement
  • Organized; capable of juggling several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Team-oriented; ability and desire to work with a cross-functional team
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (AS9100, AS9102, AS9145, IPC-A-610)
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing
  • Active Secret or higher clearance

Typically a High School Diploma and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
