The Quality Systems Manager coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents for such certifications as AS9100, ISO, and NIST. Ensures compliance documents satisfy federal, state, and local government requirements. Assists in the implementation and monitoring of such controls, compliance procedures and operational processes. Works closely with the Company staff to educate and train with respect to compliance expectations, requirements, and subsequent procedures & record keeping.Interacts with all levels of company personnel, management, and outside vendors and customers - consistently projecting a professional, positive, and informed demeanor.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Quality Systems Manager coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents for certifications such as AS9100, ISO, and NIST.
Ensures compliance documents satisfy federal, state, and local government requirements.
Assists in the implementation and monitoring of such controls, compliance procedures and operational processes in each of the above aforementioned areas of certification.
Responsibilities to employee awareness include training; trains new employees during orientation and the entire employee population as needed to address changes to company requirements and expectations.
Issues communications to employees when new rules are established, revisions are made to existing policies, and as periodic reminders of employee responsibilities to following compliant work practices.
Makes sure that the company’s processes and employees adhere to rules established to meet ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Compliance Policy Administration - controls revisions and releases of company policy documentation and makes sure current revisions are always available for employees to access and review. Updates documentation as needed to address changes to laws, regulations, or company rules and obtains proper executive review and authorization prior to release.
Keeps abreast of industry standards and outlooks related to corporate responsibility and compliance practices, as well as regulatory news that could affect the company's business activities regionally, nationally, or internationally.
Evaluation and Reporting** -** Oversees controls records relating to reports of noncompliance and investigation requests and results and evaluates those records and the compliance program's documented policies and procedures.
Plans and performs process and documentation audits to ensure written policies meet company needs and regulatory requirements and validate employee awareness of the company's rules and expectations.
Provides regular reports to executive management detailing audit results, rule violations, the status of investigations, corrective, or preventive actions underway and any recommendations for compliance program improvements.
Keeps up to date with current literature and outside/agency requirements.
Employs self-initiative, sound professional judgement, excellent communications skills to lead, motivate, and work effectively with quality team to implement the certification process, while responding to mandated conformance deadlines.
Ensures all compliance documentation and system procedures are timely and accurately completed.
Interacts with all levels of company personnel, ZHP management, customers, and outside vendors - consistently projecting a professional, positive, and informed demeanor.
Serve as point of contact and knowledge expert for activities in area of responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:
**
Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of experience and specialized training or certification.
2-4 years of prior quality control/quality assurance experience; ideally encompassing the implementation of AS9100, ISO, and/or NIST certification programs.
Prior hands-on CNC Machining background desirable (or general knowledge/experience of machining concepts and practices).
Multi-industry experience a plus (ie: aerospace, automotive, military, medical device, etc.) a plus.
Must possess meticulous work habits, be detail oriented, and have a thorough understanding of Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures and processes.
Needs to have reading comprehension, strong research skills, above average communication skills (written and verbal), coupled with active listening skills.
