Job Summary: The Quality Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and support the company's commitment to quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions, and related documentation.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Train and mentor employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement of QMS.
  • Participate in customer and third-party audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality activities and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality systems engineering, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
  • Proven experience with quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is a plus.
