Job Title: Quality Systems Engineer
Pay: $68,000/yr. DOE
Hours: 8am - 5pm or 7am -4pm (M-F)
Location: Gaffney, SC
Job Overview
The Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining and improving quality systems company-wide as well as
making sure they are compliant with both internal and external policies/procedures.
MUST BE CERTIFIED IN OR HAVE A STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF ISO/IATF AUDITING.
Essential Job Functions
✓ Comply with 6S and all other company policies, rules, and procedures at all times.
✓ Is aware of all company and customer quality concerns, ensures respect of auditing requirements in area and has
responsibility/authority to handle non-conforming parts and escalate to maintenance process engineer.

responsibility/authority to stop non-conforming items and escalate to proper authority.
✓ Manage all internal/external documents within document control system such as activation, review, approval, etc.
✓ Facilitate internal APQP process and ensure all control documents and engineering changes are linked to it.
✓ Assist in development and documentation of process flows, PFMEAs, and control Plan.
✓ Work with quality engineers to coordinate, review and ensure customer deliverables are met.
✓ Application of Audit findings from either internal or external parties will be employed for Quality/Continual Improvements.
✓ Works with Production and Engineering for development, implementation, and monitoring of systems for engineering change
control.
✓ Perform system and layered audits and ensure all such audits by others are completed/reported on according to guidelines.
✓ Coordinate and perform MSAs on all applicable devices, report, make recommendations to process engineering for corrections
and update systems accordingly.
✓ Compile and create training materials on quality system activities and conduct training sessions.
✓ Works with all departments to ensure customer property is handled according to guidelines.
✓ Works with all departments to define, systemize and ensure tooling control.
✓ Ensure all customer specific requirements are met by quality management systems.
✓ Develop systems to monitor metrics and report to management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent field
• 4-5 years in automotive quality with knowledge and experience with ISO/IATF as a lead auditor
• CQA (Preferred)
• Proficient in English, basic math skills and computer use and written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solver, logical thinker, team player, multi-tasking ability, system and process auditing skills
• Experience in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, control plans/FMEA/PPAP, statistical skills (Minitab or similar, SPC, capability
studies, DOE, F&T testing etc.), 8D/5WHY/5P
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time including walking/squatting/pushing/climbing
• May be subject to work with heavy machinery/high voltage
