Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Systems Engineer to join our elevator manufacturing team at HW. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a network of Quality Systems Engineers and Plant Quality Teams across multiple business units to drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Additionally, you will provide critical support and leadership in supplier quality to ensure compliance and operational excellence within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) framework that ensures full compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable industry standards. The framework should be adaptable across the organization while allowing for necessary plant-level customization.
- Collaborate with plant teams and cross-functional Business Unit System Engineers to define the current process and optimized future-state process, promoting standardization wherever feasible.
- Develop and deploy standardized Vantage Document and Change Control System ensuring all procedures and supporting documentation are accurate, current, and aligned with company policies and quality standards. Drive compliance through structured training and layered process audits.
- Develop, lead, and enforce comprehensive supplier quality management programs. These should include supplier approval processes, audit schedules, performance monitoring through scorecards, and cost recovery mechanisms across multiple sites.
- Leadership in resolving supplier quality issues that exceed plant-level capability, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Lead the implementation and enforcement of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process. Provide quality leadership during product resourcing activities to ensure compliance and readiness.
- Develop Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Program: Develop and oversee a standardized Vantage CAPA program aimed at identifying, correcting, and preventing quality issues across the organization.
- Facilitate strong alignment and communication between Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to ensure consistent problem-solving methodologies and efficient issue escalation.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the continuous improvement and effectiveness of the quality system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in quality systems and quality engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality, quality systems, or related field
- Highly experienced in metallic component manufacturing, metal manufacturing processes
- Experience in blueprint and GD&T reading
- Experience in the creation and implementation of Quality System/ Quality Manual
- Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and MSA control plans
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
- Ability to command authority and lead effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
- Strong in leveraging AI and machine learning tools
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Position Details
Full-Time 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Mo – Fri, potential for weekend support
up to 33% of travel required (can include international)
