General Position Summary 

This position is responsible for oversite of the Quality Control processes and disposition of part quality issues. 

This position is responsible for strict adherence to FIA company policies, procedures, and performance expectations by managing and coaching staff members, and by leading by example. 


 

  • Oversight of the Processes in the Quality Control Department. 
  • Analyzes and Resolves Quality Part and Containment Issues and sorts 
  • Assist Team Members to Achieve Work Goals 
  • Audit Compliance with Standard Work Instructions 
  • Compliance with Internal Controls / Internal Policies 
  • Complies & Enforces Safety Regulations 
  • Coordinate Training with Employees 
  • Ensures Proper Management of Quality Equipment 
  • Interprets Specifications to Workers and Assigns Duties 
  • Investigation & Countermeasures of Machinery, Quality and Efficiency Issues 
  • Monitor Internal Scrap Management 
  • Monitors Check Fixture Accuracy & Quality Activity 
  • Monitor and Oversee Improvement of Inspector and Team Leader Skill Level 
  • Oversee the Periodic Evaluation of Employees 
  • Quality and Efficiency- (Quality Standards and Measurements) 
  • Promote “Cross Training” & Continuous Improvement Within All Assigned Areas 
  • Draft NONC Documents 
  • Communication with Custom 
  • Disposition of Quality Issues 
  • Manage Overtime and Weekend Manning 
  • Track and analyze department KPI 
  • Resolve quality problems as they are revealed. 
  • Distribute all QPR/QIR documents per FIA QWI196 (Initial QPR.QIR Handling Flowchart) 
  • Audit Sample Data Sheets on a daily basis to ensure product compliance and that the forms are being completed per instruction. Areas that do not comply shall be reported to the Assistant Quality Control Manager. 
  • Other duties as assigned 


Requirements

 

  • Must have proficient oral and written communication skill 
  • Must be able to work the company’s required overtime. 
  • Must comply with FIA’s Attendance Policy. 
  • Must be able to multi task 
  • Must be able and willing to enforce all company rules and Quality procedures. 
  • Must have a good understanding of Toyota Inspection Standard

  • Work Environment: Work is typically performed in both an office and production environment 
  • Must be able to use a variety of tools and equipment such as computer terminal for data input, copy machines, calculator and any other equipment related to functional area. 
  • Noise Levels: Moderate Noise

  • Lifting up to 10 pounds – must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. 
  • Must be able to walk the distance of the plant floor multiple times daily 
  • Physical Sight – Able to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen. 
  • Verbal & Written Communications – Able to efficiently present complex matters to audience with little technical knowledge and to executive management. 
  • Telephone Communications – Able to communicate verbally using a telephone. 
  • Multitasking – Able to manage multiple work projects simultaneously.  
  • Occasionally travels by automotive and or plane
