DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. is a leading source for high performance interconnect products. We design, engineer, and produce cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, conduit assemblies, custom connectors, wire enclosures and much more!


We are privately held American owned small business made up of five (5) vertically integrated manufacturing and assembly divisions, each with their own history, specializations and products.


We are looking for dependable, fast paced, hard-working individuals with experience as a Quality Supervisor with the following qualifications and experience: 

 

JOB SUMMARY

The QA Supervisor oversees day-to-day quality operations to ensure all products meet customer, regulatory, and company standards within an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on leadership to Quality Inspectors and Technicians, ensuring adherence to AS9100, first article inspection (FAI/AS9102), and customer-specific requirements. The QA Supervisor works closely with the QA Manager to foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork, while ensuring compliance with source inspection procedures, proper documentation, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.


SCHEDULE/COMPENSATION

  • Monday through Thursday (4-Day, 40-Hour Workweek)
    • 6:00AM - 4:30PM
    • Possible OT on Friday and/or Saturday as production demands require
  • Salary; Full-Time $55K to $65K/Annually (Depending on Experience)


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Lead, mentor, and train QA personnel to ensure competency in inspection techniques, documentation, and company procedures.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-conscious work environment while holding employees accountable to performance and conduct expectations.
  • Address performance or conduct issues constructively and in alignment with company policy.
  • Promote continuous improvement and teamwork across all quality functions.
  • Read, interpret, and follow pass-downs, work orders, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Oversee and perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections on in-process and completed assemblies to verify compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Ensure inspectors properly use hand and precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, torque tools, tape measures) and electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, hi-pot testers, megohmmeters).
  • Conduct and review First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements and customer-specific documentation standards.
  • Coordinate and support customer Source Inspections, ensuring parts and documentation are ready and compliant with applicable procedures.
  • Ensure inspection data, quality records, and certification documentation are completed accurately and maintained per the Quality Program Plan and AS9100 requirements.
  • Review and approve quality documentation packages prior to shipment or source inspection.
  • Maintain organized and traceable quality records for audits and customer review.
  • Collaborate closely with the QA Manager to identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Communicate clearly with Production, Engineering, and Program Management to ensure alignment on quality objectives and requirements.
  • Escalate concerns promptly and ask clarifying questions when requirements or conditions are uncertain.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety protocols, and quality procedures.
  • Promote and enforce adherence to DCX-CHOL Enterprises safety and 5S (clean, organized workspace) standards.
  • Participate actively in quality, safety, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven ability to train, coach, and hold team members accountable in accordance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and related quality management system requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) and Source Inspection preparation and procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, torque tools) and electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, hi-pot testers, megohmmeters).
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using ERP/MRP or quality management systems for documentation, recordkeeping, and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with management, engineering, production, and customers.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.


Work Environment:

This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments. The QA Supervisor regularly moves between inspection areas, production floors, and administrative offices to oversee quality operations, provide training, and conduct audits or inspections. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners, as well as inspection tools and measuring equipment in the production area. Work may occasionally involve interaction with customers or government representatives during audits or source inspections. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate but may vary depending on production activity. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.


Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly, stand, walk, and move between departments and facilities. The role occasionally requires bending, reaching, or lifting items such as cable assemblies, harnesses, and inspection equipment weighing up to 25–30 pounds. The QA Supervisor must have sufficient mobility and visual acuity to perform inspections, observe production processes, and review detailed documentation. Extended periods of sitting at a computer workstation may also be required when reviewing records or preparing reports.
