Job Overview:
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading the quality assurance and control functions within an EMS environment, ensuring that electronic assemblies comply with IPC standards and customer specifications. This role supervises quality inspectors, enforces quality policies, drives Root Cause Analysis, and promotes continuous improvement initiatives. Reports to Quality Engineering Manager at Newark, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
3+ years of quality experience in EMS or electronics manufacturing.
IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) or Trainer (CIT) required.
Experience with QMS systems, inspection tools, and statistical analysis.
Proficient in reading schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 standards is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AOI/X-Ray/ICT/FCT operation and Quality data extraction and reporting.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent training preferred.
Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and traceability.
