Position Title: Quality Supervisor

Business Title: Quality Supervisor

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with corporate Quality to implement and maintain the ISO 9001 certified quality management system
  • Accountable for the establishment and sustainment of quality processes
  • Monitor and measure the quality of inbound and manufactured goods
  • Collaborate with Materials Management on addressing supplier quality issues
  • Facilitate compliance to customer specific requirements and provide input on new product developments
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as procedures, work instructions, forms, records, etc.
  • Ensure timely resolution of product complaints, non-conforming material dispositions, corrective actions and risk assessments
  • Preparation of QA reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data leading to decision making recommendations
  • Conduct Quality Awareness training for all employees
  • Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for compliance
  • Performs other duties to achieve overall business unit metrics at the direction of the Director of Quality Management and the Plant Manager
  • Complies with company policies and the Code of Conduct Statement
  • Adheres to general and job specific safety, environmental, and quality guidelines/procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Associate’s degree in manufacturing or related field or equivalent combination of experience and formal education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management or Manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge required in technical areas including quality principles and methods, ISO 9001, Quality System auditing, performance management, problem solving.
  • Experience using CI/Quality/Six Sigma core tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, fishbone diagrams, pareto, FMEA, PPAP, etc.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point ERP systems
  • ASQ certified Green Belt preferred
