Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with corporate Quality to implement and maintain the ISO 9001 certified quality management system
- Accountable for the establishment and sustainment of quality processes
- Monitor and measure the quality of inbound and manufactured goods
- Collaborate with Materials Management on addressing supplier quality issues
- Facilitate compliance to customer specific requirements and provide input on new product developments
- Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
- Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as procedures, work instructions, forms, records, etc.
- Ensure timely resolution of product complaints, non-conforming material dispositions, corrective actions and risk assessments
- Preparation of QA reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data leading to decision making recommendations
- Conduct Quality Awareness training for all employees
- Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for compliance
- Performs other duties to achieve overall business unit metrics at the direction of the Director of Quality Management and the Plant Manager
- Complies with company policies and the Code of Conduct Statement
- Adheres to general and job specific safety, environmental, and quality guidelines/procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education/Experience - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Associate’s degree in manufacturing or related field or equivalent combination of experience and formal education
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management or Manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge required in technical areas including quality principles and methods, ISO 9001, Quality System auditing, performance management, problem solving.
- Experience using CI/Quality/Six Sigma core tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, fishbone diagrams, pareto, FMEA, PPAP, etc.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point ERP systems
- ASQ certified Green Belt preferred
