Job Summary
The Quality & Safety Manager is responsible for providing the quality tools, methods, and data to assure ongoing product defect-free quality both internally and externally. Monitors and maintains quality processes to assure continual 100% customer satisfaction. Provide direction to materials, manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to meet quality objectives. Develop, execute and maintain comprehensive quality product and process plans for products; establish and maintain quality performance metrics and review processes that drive continuous improvement in business performance.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Review documentation for compliance to quality standards.
- Provide expert knowledge and data to technical staff to influence product, sub-assembly, and components designs based upon process and product quality data and trend information.
- Champion and train others on primary quality tools; SPC, Problem Solving, DFx, FMEA, etc.
- Serve as manufacturing focal point for intelligent analysis of quality issues, determining true root cause and permanent corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with Supply Chain Management; participate in the selection and development of suppliers in order to yield long-term benefits.
- Participate in supply chain strategy development addressing overall supply chain performance, identification of improvement or new requirements, and execution of improvement plans.
- Inspect incoming components, raw materials, fabricated parts, and in-process assemblies and subassemblies products as required.
- Provide direction and mentoring to inspectors and technicians within the Quality function.
- Maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety Association (OHSA).
- Conduct regular Safety Committee meetings for review and discussion of the performance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety Association (OHSA), ensuring processes remain sustainable, suitable and effective.
- Continuously assess opportunities for improvement and for any necessary changes to management systems.
- Providing CoCs, RoHS, REACH, TSCA, and Conflict Minerals compliance documentation upon request.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree required in an engineering discipline; an EE degree is preferred in this location. Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum five years of experience in a technical field with significant hands-on quality and manufacturing experience
- Supervisory experience
- SAP experience is desirable.

- Occasionally required to walk, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
