The Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager or designate performing primarily office and non-manual quality functions designed to service Production through consultation and oversight.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Quality inspector reports to the Quality Manager or designate. This position is responsible for daily auditing of product quality at press and secondary operations to ensure production associate output complies with applicable QMS procedures and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Provide guidance to Production group related to part inspection procedures
B. Assist in training for Operators and Pack-offs on gage and/or visual inspections
C. Develop consistency on gage and visual inspection methods between Production cells
D. Review containment activity performed by Team Leaders of nonconforming product
E. Participate and support internal and external problem solving / corrective action process
F. CMM Operation and part verification to support NASG's quality system as necessary
G. Perform weld / assembly validation (cut and etch, push-out, torque, tensile test, etc..) as required
H. Assist with annual validations / PPAP as required
I. Perform routine inspections, dimensional studies, and investigations, as necessary
J. Participate in Layered Audit process
K. Perform dimensional and gage studies as required for Quality Team
L. Maintain records of audits, open communication between Production & Quality and overall professional behavior as a member of the Quality team
M. Provide back-up support to EPC department and Quality Technicians, as required
N. Ensure that all abnormalities to the standards are documented, escalated, and resolved while working together with Team Members to improve the standard for better Safety, Quality, and Productivity
O. In addition to performing primary duties, the individual shall provide support where deemed necessary by Management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education:
• High School Diploma
Experience:
• 3 years manufacturing experience • 2 years computer (PC) experience
