The Project Engineer, as a part of the Quality Mission Assurance Tools & Technology Team, is responsible for project management of the Ignition Platform, including dashboards and metrics to the Raytheon Quality and Mission Assurance, Quality Mission Assurance (QMA) Organization. The successful candidate will also assist in the planning and budgets of the team. This exciting role has exposure to mission assurance professionals at all levels.

This is an onsite position, and the effective candidate can reside in one of the following locations.

  • Tucson, AZ (preferred)
  • Andover, MA
  • Dallas, TX
  • El Segundo, CA

What You Will Do

  • Lead Ignition development activities as the Project Engineer, partnering with various Operations Development Teams from requirements gathering, to developing and delivering a solution.
  • Assist with strategic planning, prioritizing and budgeting of simultaneous projects with multiple customers and occasionally limited resources.
  • Provide required training to stakeholders along with any other help needed when Applications / Metrics are delivered.
  • Manage project scope (requirements and change requests) ensuring it meets agreed to commitments.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and resolve them through proactive ownership.
  • Prepare well-crafted presentations reporting project status to leadership teams and customers.
  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of data in applications, reports, and metrics by partnering with the Digital Technology team and other functional representatives, as needed.
  • Engaged in several special projects to continue supporting the Quality and Mission Assurance, QMA Organization.
  • Engage with the Digital Business Operations Agile Teams.
  • This is a first shift position.

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Extended working experience in Project Management.
  • Extended working experience with budgets and forecast planning.
  • Extended working experience using at minimum, one of the following Microsoft Office Applications (Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps and Power Automate).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Processes.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity management.
  • Ignition knowledge.
  • EtQ experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality tools and processes (LPA, AS9100, FAI, Net Inspect, APQP).
  • Demonstrated experience as a change agent, able to energize and influence across all levels.
  • Keen eye for opportunities to promote Quality 4.0.
  • An acumen for Earned Value management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively execute multiple active projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintaining effective customer relationships.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
