Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in gear manufacturing to join our team in Elmhurst, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our production processes and products. Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the quality inspection processes for gear manufacturing.
Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to monitor production quality.
Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify potential quality issues.
Perform tolerance analysis to ensure product specifications are met.
Utilize Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Lead root cause analysis efforts to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), calipers, and micrometers for precise measurements.
Leverage quality control software to track and report on quality metrics.
Work closely with gear machinery brands such as PC-DMIS, Gleason, and Hofler to ensure quality standards are upheld.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Proven experience in quality inspection within the gear manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
Experience with tolerance analysis and Six Sigma methodologies.
Familiarity with the PPAP process and quality control data analysis.
Proficient in root cause analysis techniques.
Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), calipers, and micrometers.
Experience using quality control software and tools.
Knowledge of gear machinery brands such as PC-DMIS, Gleason, and Hofler.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
