We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Elmhurst, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment. As a Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, while also leading initiatives to enhance our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the quality control processes for aerospace manufacturing operations.
  • Utilize CNC tooling and gear machinery to ensure precision and quality in production.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis on quality control metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the PPAP process to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to AS9100 standards and facilitate audits as necessary.
  • Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and measurement gauges for quality inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate CAD/CAM software into quality control processes.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality control software and best practices.
  • Work closely with machine brands such as Hexagon, Gleason, and Hofler to optimize quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Gear manufacturing or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong background in Six Sigma methodologies and quality control data analysis.
  • Experience with the PPAP process and AS9100 standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and quality control software.
  • Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and measurement gauges.
  • Familiarity with gear machinery and related processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
